Bio

Richard Infranca is a retired police detective with 38 years of law enforcement experience. During most of his career he trained law enforcement officers, community groups and private businesses in numerous topic and/ or skill sets.
In the 1990's Richard was the state training director and administrator for the D.A.R.E. drug abuse prevention program in Colorado. He was also a national and international trainer for D.A.R.E. America, Inc. during that time.
   Early in Richard's career he studied mental health disorders, personality disorders, and crisis intervention in the Behavioral Science Unit at the FBI Academy in Virginia. Richard continued his studies throughout his career and was the lead crisis negotiator for two police departments, as well as being a trainer for other negotiators. Richard's last related course of study was in Psychopathy at Johnson and Wales University - Denver.
    In 2003 Richard Infranca became a Trainer, Coach and Course Director with the Crisis Intervention Teams (C.I.T.) program for the mental health provider in his respective county. Richard continues to be a trainer with the C.I.T. program.
    In 2016, as Richard was preparing to retire, the local mental health center requested that he become a certified instructor for Mental Health First Aid (MHFA). In April of that year Richard became a MHFA instructor and is certified in the Adult, Youth, Public Safety and Fire/EMS curriculums. In 2018 Richard became a MHFA National Trainer for the National Council for Behavioral Health.
   In 2015 Richard founded Specialty Training And Consulting Services, LLC. STAC Services provides technical/ skills training and consulting for law enforcement, local government, private corporations, health providers, and community groups.​ Training and consulting services include, but are not limited to, Train the Trainer classes, Internal/External Threat Assessment, Landfill Search and Recovery, Crisis Communication and De-escalation Skills, Mental Health First Aid, and more.
