When:  Jan 31, 2022 from 13:00 to 14:00 (ET)

With over 100,000 overdose deaths in the past year, community-level crisis response systems have become more important than ever.

Join the National Council for Mental Wellbeing's Substance Use Interest Group on January 31st at 1-2 p.m. ET as we welcome Chris Richardson and Jay Flynn of the Mental Health Center of Denver (MHCD). Their state-of-the-art crisis response program, Support Team Assisted Response (STAR), is the leading community crisis response system in the United States for community members experiencing problems related to substance use and mental health. The STAR program is notable for its network of unique community partnerships, integrated wraparound service offerings, person-centered model and well-developed mobile response capabilities.

Join us to learn and share about the latest developments in overdose response, and takeaways from MHCD’s efforts to provide crisis care and linkage-to-treatment for individuals with substance use disorder.
