Julie - CBH's Board orientation includes a review of the Board's duties to act in the best interests of the association and to avoid conflicts of interest. We also have a conflict of interest policy.
As a practical matter, these are difficult if not impossible to enforce – but they can create the grounds to have focused discussions with members about the association's values and expectations, or more pointed discussions between the Board chair and a member whose conduct may be of concern.
Email me at shannon@mdcbh.org if you're interested in a copy of our conflict policy and I can send it to you directly.

Subject: Member Support for the Association's Positions - 8/22/22
Association Executive colleagues - I am wondering if any of your associations have guidelines around expectations for member agencies to support positions of their association in promoting their network's best interesting in relationship to promoting their individual agency's best interests.
Thanks,
Julie
