We wanted to provide a quick update on the manager’s amendment to the HEROES Act. Although the provisions that most directly impact us and our members go largely unchanged, there are a couple that we wanted to highlight:
The House is scheduled to vote on the HEROES Act as amended today (5.15.2020), and we will keep you updated on any further developments.
As you may know, the House of Representatives dropped a proposed $3 trillion COVID-19 response package earlier this week, called the Health Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions (HEROES) Act. Please note that the Senate is likely to counter with its own proposal. We will provide further detail as it becomes available.
Please see below for a summary of the sections of the HEROES Act that most directly impact you and your members. For further details, click here for the full text of the bill and click here for the full section-by-section summary from the House.
