Massachusetts recently passed a new paid family and medical leave law and our providers are trying to figure out what effect it will have on staffing etc.  Parts of the law go into effect January 1, 2021 and the rest July 1, 2021.

Do other states have state sponsored paid family & medical leave programs?  Have you seen this change recently and how much has it affected the rate at which staff take advantage of this new benefit?

If anyone would be willing to talk to me about it further, I'd appreciate it.

    Thank you! Happy Holidays.

I don't have any information on uptake yet. DC's law is new. It did add a new 0.62% payroll tax for our members (and us), which isn't incorporated into our rates.
