Dear Association Executives,

As previewed on yesterday's call, SAMHSA today announced the latest round of CCBHC Expansion Grants. I am attaching a list of the most recent grantees for your reference.

• 100 grants were announced, with the majority being new CCBHCs (with a handful of demonstration sites receiving a grant to expand their activities)
• Two organizations in Alabama received awards for the first time, bringing our total number of states with CCBHCs to 41 plus DC and Guam. Welcome, Alabama!
• The total amount of funding awarded appears to be about $250 million, meaning that there are still additional appropriated funds that have not yet been awarded. Therefore, we expect there will be a new FOA at some point soon and another opportunity for clinics that did not get an award in this round to re-apply.

Our Comms team, led by Connor McKay (copied) put together the attached toolkit to help you with any press, media or social media outreach you may want to do around these grants. Last time, local press efforts led by association execs resulted in greater visibility for the grantees and helped our federal advocacy efforts by highlighting for Members of Congress the new investment in their districts/states. We encourage you to consider some PR efforts around this announcement, and Connor is standing by to provide any PR-related support – please don't hesitate to reach out.
