Dear Association Executives - Thank you for the discussion Friday regarding this year's Hill Day! As we mentioned, registration officially opened for all National Council members yesterday, and you all should have received a specific prompt via email to register so you don't count toward the initial attendance caps. If you are also a Board member, your prompt from Maureen yesterday included a single link to register for the Board meeting and for Hill Day.

After Friday's discussion, we evaluated feedback from the group and are implementing some adjustments to better allow for flexibility in scheduling Hill meetings for Thursday, June 6:

    • If you or your designated state captain would prefer to schedule Hill meetings for your state delegation, you can choose to opt-out of National Council's meeting scheduling service. If you wish to opt-out, please let Connor McKay know by Friday, March 8: ConnorM@TheNationalCouncil.org. If opted-out, National Council will provide you the list of the initial 15 registrants from your state by the end of March (sooner if your state cap is hit before the end of March) for you to schedule Hill meetings.
    • To ensure a fair and equitable representation, we are not controlling which members are the first to fill the initial 15 registration slots.
    • As discussed, once your state initially reaches 15 registrants, people attempting to register will have the option of joining a waitlist. Our messaging to members yesterday included a request for 1-2 people maximum per organization to register, to avoid single organizations taking up a disproportionate share of the open slots.
    • Please note, if you select to opt-out of National Council's meeting scheduling service, your state delegation attendees are still required to register through the National Council's registration process for entrance to Hill Day 2024 programming. Only attendees registered through National Council's registration process can access the Hill Day 2024 programming (Public Policy Institute on June 5, receptions on both nights, and the pre-Hill meeting breakfast at the Hyatt on June 6). Attendees will not be able to register onsite over June 5-6.
    • If your state hits its registration cap, National Council will notify you. Based on the registration levels at the end of March, National Council will determine where open slots can be re-allocated based on some states not hitting caps and some states having waitlists.

Here is the general registration link: https://thenationalcouncil.swoogo.com/hillday24/begin?reg_type_id=536294 if you would like to follow up with specific people in your state who you'd like to ensure are registered.

Please let us know if you have questions.

We appreciate you all working with us to make this an impactful and successful Hill Day.
