Dear Association Executives – The Hill Day 'save-the-date' message below just went out to all National Council members. Registration for Hill Day will open next month. A note on this year's event size – space is very limited this year for Hill Day attendance. General membership registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis, and we will give members the opportunity to register before non-members. Given this is our first in-person Hill Day since 2019, we're expecting high demand. To guarantee a diverse group of voices, and to ensure an equitable representation of states for maximum advocacy impact, registration will be limited on a state-by-state basis. We appreciate your understanding.

We will discuss this further at the March 1st Association Executives meeting which will be held at 2:00 pm ET/1:00 pm CT/12:00 pm MT/11:00 am PT/10:00 am Alaska Time).

Until then, please let us know if you have questions.

    Thank you –

    ---------------------
    Dear Members,

Twenty years ago, the National Council for Mental Wellbeing held our first Hill Day. We all came from different corners of the country to meet with policymakers in Washington to share our stories and solutions for the challenges in our field.

Since 2004, and through the past four years of virtual Hill Day at Home advocacy, we've achieved incredible policy wins together.

From the creation of Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics and workforce demonstrations, to funding for mental health awareness training programs and growing the amount of mental health and substance use professionals that can be reimbursed through Medicare our collective voices have made an immense difference in the lives of millions of people nationwide.

For our 20th annual Hill Day, we're thrilled to announce that we're returning to a two-day, in-person advocacy event.
You read that right: For the first time in five years, the National Council's premier advocacy event returns in person from June 5-6 in Washington.

Registration will begin in early March. Space this year is limited, and we encourage you to register as soon as possible once it opens. Please watch for more detailed communication from the National Council on planning for this year's Hill Day.

To paraphrase the late Sen. Everett Dirksen, when lawmakers feel the heat, they see the light. Let's raise our voices together in June to illuminate a bright future for the mental health and substance use care field. Together, we'll ensure that, in a consequential year, Congress hears us loud and clear.

    More to Come!
