I consider myself to be a highly motivated, results-focused professional with over thirty years of experience in the business world and non-profit community with a creative, innovative and entrepreneurial approach to all my endeavors. In my current job I am Executive
Director of the California Council of Community Behavioral Health Agencies, which represents organizations across the state that provide services in the mental health and alcohol and drug fields.
I worked for over 20 years in the medical consulting field and founded my own company in 1993, which ran until 2010. I then made the move into non-profit management. I became involved with the fight against HIV/AIDS in the mid-80's, co-founded Capital City AIDS Fund and have created and chaired all of the major fundraisers in this area for our community, including the Sacramento Valley AIDS Walk/Run, Oscar Night Sacramento, and the NorCal AIDS Challenge. I served on the Board of the Center for AIDS Research, Education & Services for 10 years and served as Board President.. Locally I have worked with our elected officials on issues affecting our community generally and specifically with HIV/AIDS and GLBT issues. Currently I serve on the District Attorney's Community Advisory Council, and serve as Treasurer on the Board of the Mountain Valley Chapter of the American Leadership Forum. On a private level I have a huge passion for cooking, gardening, reading, travelling and collecting glass art. As active as I am in the community I also believe strongly in a balanced life with quiet times at home.
Specialties: Non-profit management and development, community and government relations, fund development, and community advocacy.
