Bio

Brie is the Assistant Vice President of Integration at the National Council for Behavioral Health. She has over 15 years of experience working with primary care and behavioral health organizations nationally to enhance care for patients living with complex medical conditions. With a broad focus on prevention strategies, she works in partnership with organizations to identify goals and implement change upstream and across the spectrum to better meet the needs of patients. Prior to joining the National Council, Brie worked as the Director for Integrated Care at a managed care organization in Colorado working on developing innovative approaches to financing in integrated care. She led a pilot initiative to add maternal depression screening to routine pediatric visits to ensure new mothers had access to care in the early stages of motherhood. Additionally, she worked on a statewide initiative to prevent alcohol use during pregnancy and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. She has worked on curriculum development for nursing students on integrated care and trained preceptors in university settings on best practices in substance use prevention and early intervention. She is skilled at meeting organizations and providers where they are at and providing the tools necessary to improve care.
