    Dear Association Executives,

The USDA recently announced the FY 2020 Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network Funding Opportunity. As stated on the USDA website, the purpose of the Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network (FRSAN) Program is to establish a network that connects individuals who are engaged in farming, ranching, and other agriculture-related occupations to stress assistance programs. The establishment of a network that assists farmers and ranchers in time of stress can offer a conduit to improving behavioral health awareness, literacy, and outcomes for agricultural producers, workers and their families.

Applications may only be submitted by a collaborative or network which may include Indian tribes, State departments of agriculture, State cooperative extension services, and other nongovernmental organizations. This may be a great opportunity for any Associations that currently have or are interested in establishing a relationship with such stakeholders.

USDA anticipates awarding four grants of up to $7.1 million over three years. Please note that the application is due on June 23rd.

Please let me know if the National Council can be of any assistance or support for those interested in this opportunity.
