    Hello Fellow Association Execs! 

    At the ED Retreat we talked about sharing association policies and procedure manuals. At this time NABHO does not have anything other than our bylaws to guide our association. I have a rough draft of a manual but would appreciate knowing what you have in place. As we continue to grow it is becoming clear that we need to have some established policies in place to guide and direct the ED and association. Thanks for your help, it is so great to have such an awesome group of people I can turn to for help!!

    We have a member handbook that defines policies around representing the association, keeping us informed, confidentiality, ethics, antitrust issues, etc. We have a Board governance manual that describes attendance, conflicts, executive compensation, etc.

     

    ASAE is generally a great resource for sample policies and procedures, which can be accessed affordably through an individual membership, but do think through the areas where more specific healthcare knowledge may be useful.
