    Dear AE's,

    I am curious what you do to recognize and thank your outgoing leadership or Executive Committee members? We don't have any tradition and it ranges from a certificate to gift card of some type. I would like to settle on a common practice and just wonder what other associations do.

    We give a gift that commemorates their service to the president only. I like to give an engraved silver platter with their name, office and term.

    We do $50 gift cards annually to all board members at our annual meeting. Every December we give an individualized gift for the Board President with the full board present.

    Hi Annette

    We don't do special recognition for Board members or Officers (although, I'm starting to feel like we should after reading folks' responses). 

    But, we do recognize members (ED/CEOs) who retire or transition with a card and gift card/ token of appreciation.

    Hi Annette,
    We recognize outgoing board members at our Annual Meeting with a plaque.  We also do board gifts for all board members around the holidays as a token of our appreciation, usually around $50 - yeti with our logo, portfolio, camp chairs, echo dot, weather-Tec phone/cup holder, etc.
