    Dear Association Executives - For your situational awareness, there may be an opportunity to advocate with your state for funds from a new SAMHSA grant program available to states.

    SAMHSA will award states, territories, and tribes grants to "provide crisis intervention services, mental and substance use disorder treatment, and other related recovery supports for children and adults impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic".

    Key details of the SAMHSA grant program include:

    • Application Due Date: Friday, April 10, 2020
    • Anticipated Number of Awards: 60
    • Anticipated Total Available Funding: $110,000,000
    • Proposed budgets cannot exceed $2 million for states and $500,000 for territories and tribes
    • Just one award per state or governmental entity
