We have had the same concerns. In my research, it appears that most of these vendors are ordering from DHGate.com. It is a China based "Amazon". If you order directly it's much less expensive. I am considering placing an order for the Association. The first vendor that approached us wanted a minimum of 50,000 KN95 masks with 50% upfront. The costs were nearly $4 per mask. Its a gamble, but here these are $.52 per mask.

Subject: PPE OFFERS
Hi, all.
I have a question about being approached by people/groups with PPE for distribution.
We have referred such offers to the state, with predictable results. Our concern has been about liability - that we have no ability to vet the offers so if we're in the chain of ownership/handling/referrals we could be passing along rip-offs or unsafe PPE.
Has anyone else has this concern? Either way, how have you dealt with it?
Thanks,
Gian-Carl
