Does your state allow LCPCs to supervise LCSW-C or other Social Workers coming into the profession? We do not in Maine and are looking at introducing legislation to allow it as they have the same scope of practice and we need all the workers in the field we can get. Currently, we are losing LCPCs to other states where they can move up the supervisory ladder. Thanks for any info you can share!

We use to have the same limiting requirement, but over time worked with the Arizona Social Worker Association and the University to change that to a % of hours that had to be done by another social worker and the rest could be by other Independent Practioners

New Jersey does not allow professional counselors (LPC) to supervise social workers.
