    Dear members,

We just received an update to share about the Provider Relief Fund – this evening, HHS announced they will extend the application deadline for the Medicaid/CHIP portal until August 28, 2020.

In addition, HHS announced their intention to reopen the Medicare distribution portal beginning the week of August 10 for certain providers who had challenges during the Phase I Medicare distribution allocations from the General Fund. They have indicated that the portal, once reopened, will also remain open until August 28, 2020.

"Extending the deadline for Medicaid providers and giving certain Medicare providers another shot at funding is another example of our work with providers to ensure as many as possible receive the support they need." – Sec. Azar said in an HHS press release.

We believe the intent of HHS is to ensure eligible health care providers receive the balance of their additional funding to equal approximately 2% of gross receipts from patient care regardless of payer mix through the Provider Relief Fund.

We will send out more information as soon as we receive it.
